At Henry Boot our purpose is centred around ‘creating great places today, to build a better tomorrow’ and a key part of that is how we create impact in the communities in which we work.
We strive to create long-lasting social value through the work of a dedicated commitee whose strategic focus is on aligning our community investment and charitable giving with commercial focus.
Our support is anchored around three charitable pillars and focus areas:
-
health, medical and educational improvements for children and adults
-
homelessness and rootlessness
-
the environment and climate change

Case study: Golddigger Trust
Henry Boot Construction teamed up with supply chain partners to deliver a pro bono office fit-out for Sheffield-based charity, Golddigger Trust. We chose to support the project to create significant social value for Sheffield’s young people and to invest in the legacy of the Heart of the City project completed in 2023. The move saw them inherit an impressive kitchen and restaurant space below their new office, which they transformed into a Wellbeing Café, offering a range of engaging wellbeing activities for the heart, body, mind and soul.
Henry Boot Construction worked closely with a host of trusted businesses from the local supply chain to deliver the social value project, with Elecomm supporting with mechanical and electrical services, Barn Oak Developments with joinery, and Global Contract Interiors with drywall and ceiling work. C+A Design provided its architectural services pro bono too.
Additionally, Banner Plant donated many of the required tools free-of-charge.
