Peter Mawson
Chair

Peter Mawson

Peter is the chair of Henry Boot. He has a wealth of experience in the management and leadership of professional service firms, together with senior practitioner expertise across the built environment, from both public and private sector perspectives. He is also the Non-Executive Chairman of Nexus Planning Limited and Board Representative on the Paradise Circus Project for the Birmingham City Council.

Tim Roberts
Chief Executive Officer

Tim Roberts

Joining Henry Boot in January 2020, Tim is the Chief Executive Officer. Responsible for group profitability, Tim guides the achievement of the highest level of return for a given level of risk. He is also responsible for communicating strategy and results to both private and institutional investors, alongside Darren Littlewood. Tim also relays subsidiary company strategy back to the main Board. He is also the director responsible for all health, safety and environmental matters.

Darren Littlewood
Chief Financial Officer

Darren Littlewood

Darren is our Chief Financial Officer. He joined the company in 1999, working for Henry Boot Homes Limited, the group’s former house building operation. He qualified as a member of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants and became Group Financial Controller in 2008, before later becoming Chief Financial Officer in January 2016. He is heavily involved in investor communications and responsible for communicating the Group's strategy and results. Additionally, he is a member of the CBI Yorkshire and Humber Regional Council and a Director and Trustee of South Yorkshire Community Foundation Limited.

James Sykes
Non-Executive Director

James Sykes

In 2011, James became a Non-Executive Director. He is Chairman and Partner in the London office of Saffery LLP, Chartered Accountants, which he joined from university in 1987. James is also a Non-Executive Director of Saffery Trust International in Guernsey. As a partner in the Private Wealth and Estates Group at Saffery LLP he has many years’ experience in the UK strategic land market. James brings experience to Board decision-making generally, but particularly to Hallam Land.

Serena Lang
Senior Independent Director

Serena Lang

Serena is our Senior Independent Director with extensive strategic leadership, growth and digital transformation experience. Bringing diversity of thought to the Board, she has worked across multiple industries in complex industrial, engineering and construction environments and culturally diverse markets. Serena is the Chair of Trifast PLC and was formerly the Non-Executive Chair of AIM listed technology company Eleco PLC from December 2014 to May 2023.

Talita Ferreira
Non-Executive Director

Talita Ferreira

Talita has been a Non-Executive Director on the Board since January 2024. She became the Chair of the Audit and Risk Committee on 1 September 2024. A Chartered Accountant, Talita has extensive finance, risk and governance experience. She brings a wide range of leadership, people and strategic expertise to the Board from previous executive roles and her current role as CEO and founder of Authentic Change Solutions Limited.

Amy Stanbridge
General Counsel and Company Secretary, Henry Boot

Amy Stanbridge

Amy is an experienced lawyer who became a solicitor in 2006 and a Chartered Secretary in 2019. She has worked at Henry Boot since 2014 and currently serves as the Company Secretary and General Counsel, leading the legal, governance, and insurance teams. Amy also oversees Henry Boot's Responsible Business (ESG) approach and provides operational and strategic support across the business.

Nick Duckworth
Managing Director, Hallam Land

Nick Duckworth

Nick began his career in a private sector planning consultancy, Phillips Planning Services, in 1990. In late 1992, he left Phillips Planning Services and joined Hallam’s then newly established Northampton office. Nick set up the South West office of Hallam in Bristol in 1997, and became the Regional Manager. He was appointed a Director in 2002 and Managing Director in January 2016.

Jon Fisher
Managing Director, Banner Plant

Jonathan Fisher

Jonathan is the Managing Director at Banner Plant, where he has been leading the company since July 2021. With a robust background in financial analysis, strategic leadership, and sales management, he has driven significant growth and innovation at the business. Before joining Henry Boot, Jonathan spent over six years at Algeco UK, holding key positions such as UK Sales Director, Regional Director - North, and Group Key Account Director.

Ed Hutchinson
Managing Director, HBD

Edward Hutchinson

Ed started his career in quantity surveying before quickly progressing into project management. In 2004, he joined HBD as a Project Manager, rapidly rising to the position of Senior Project Manager in 2006. Edward was appointed a Director in 2012 and became Managing Director in 2018.

Tony Shaw
Managing Director, Henry Boot Construction

Tony Shaw

In 1985, Tony joined Henry Boot Construction as a trainee. With a background in production planning and project management, he has held a number of positions in the business, including Regional Manager and Operations Director. Tony took over as Managing Director in July 2021.

Rachel White
People Director

Rachel White

Joining Henry Boot in 2001 as a graduate trainee, Rachel has held several roles in the People team. She took the role of Head of HR in July 2015 and People Director in July 2022. Rachel has responsibility for Employee Relations, Employee Benefits, Reward and Remuneration, Organisational Development, People Development, Employee Engagement and Payroll. She is also a Trustee Director for Henry Boot Pension Trustees Limited and is a member of the Governance Committee for the Henry Boot Group Stakeholder Pension Plan. Externally, Rachel is a Trustee of The Children’s Hospital Charity in Sheffield
