HBD has completed a new 60,000 sq. ft. scheme at Airport Business Park Southend; the latest addition to the 25-ha development.
The Quad provides an additional 12 industrial and warehouse units from 4,315 sq. ft. to 9,860 sq. ft., meeting demand from SMEs looking for high-quality space within an established business location.
Airport Business Park Southend (ABPS) forms part of an ambitious new vision for Southend-on-Sea. It is being delivered in partnership between HBD and Southend-on-Sea City Council.
Since work began on site we have completed 200,000 sq. ft. of industrial space at ABPS – a lot of those deals have been for larger buildings for the likes of IPECO so it’s great to see The Quad now completed, providing smaller units for growing SMEs.” Occupiers also benefit from the “Launchpad”, a dedicated facility designed to champion innovation in the area for start-ups and SMEs. ABPS is extremely well-located adjacent to London Southend Airport and close to major transport networks. It benefits from unrivalled connectivity in a well-established business destination, with neighbouring occupiers including Jaguar Land Rover, Holiday Inn and The University of Essex. Harry continued: “The shortage of industrial stock in key locations, coupled with growing demand for sustainable Grade A space, means we are continuing to see healthy interest from occupiers.”
Harry Bunbury, Director at HBD“It’s great to see that the Quad at Airport Business Park Southend has been completed, creating more prospects for local businesses to expand and for new businesses of all sizes to invest. The project continues in helping to create local jobs for local people and drive economic growth in the City of Southend-on-Sea. With the cost of living crisis that the country is currently facing, it has never been more critical to provide opportunities like this, and I am very pleased to see so much positive progress on site.”
