In our news update from last month we mentioned that our property developer HBD, had submitted further planning permission at Luton’s Butterfield Business Park. HBD has now been given the green light for The Quad Phase Two, which will see the hugely popular development double in size, providing an additional five units totalling 82,000 sq. ft. of light industrial space for local occupiers and SMEs. Butterfield Business Park is an 83-acre industrial development close to Junction 10 of the M1 and Luton Airport. Hotel.

In other areas of the country, HBD is nearing completion of two units at Markham Vale North, which is situated off the M1 near Chesterfield. The steel structures and cladding have completed for the development, known as Orion, which will provide an additional 221,518 sq. ft. and 75,500 sq. ft. and are expected to complete in 2021. Markham Vale is a partnership between HBD and Derbyshire County Council, it is one of the region’s flagship locations and has been a catalyst for the creation of thousands of new jobs.
